Lost in time was going to be a mod only for the 2026 Modjam focusing on the jurassic era, but after making a few assets and having fun working on it we might continue into new Eras with even more creatures (which we did!) This mod was made by two people in about a month so there's spots rough around the edges but it was a test to see if we could. Calebdinoking10 made every single asset, from the models, textures, even the animations. Mean while Collinvht coded everything in and came up with ideas along the development of the mod that made the world feel even more alive. Honorable mention to Totemaster for helping with plant ideas too
The whole process is similar to the TV show Prehistoric Park where you create a time portal and can travel freely between the prehistoric worlds. With some amethyst and iron you create the time portals. Then you need to fuel them with more amethyst and a special amulet, one for each of the time periods (some time periods are stuck behind others) Each time period has it's own enviornment to experience and explore, from the open flood plains to the dense Redwoods. If you want to bring creatures back you'll have to leash the smaller of the creatures and drag them though, for the latger creatures you'll want to pull a Nigel Marven and hope they follow you though the portal as you're running.
Besides just creatures we also have 3 whole wood sets to liven up your builds and give you colors missing from base game. There's several species of cycad that you can use to help terraform and they have no hitboxes like flowers so you don't have to worry about it being imposible to navigate the dense underbrush of the prehistoric world. There's new ferns, grasses, grass blocks and stone sets for the new worlds that really helps show it's age. Finally my personal fav is the 2 sand sets we have jurassic sand and arid sand which both blend with base game sand and can make really cool gradients.
What is the mod about? Remember Prehistoric Park? Going back in time Exploring places that are lost to time Returning home with new and exciting prehistoric creatures and plants to build your dream nature preserve or park. What era's are currently covered?
Currently we only plan to cover the mid-late jurassic but we could expand if the support is there! (Support was there! and now we have all 3 main dinosaur eras XD)
